Who we are
Sooner is run by Sooner Health ("we"). We are the controller of the information you give us. Contact: hello@soonerhealth.co.uk. Sooner is independent and is not part of the NHS.
What we collect
- Your email address, and your first name if you give it.
- Optional answers: what you're waiting for, where you are in the process, the first part of your postcode (for example ME14), and whether Plus would be worth it to you.
- A share code, and the code of the person who shared the link with you, if any.
- A one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address, used only to stop automated sign-ups. We never store the address itself.
What you're waiting for is information about your health, a special category under UK data protection law. We keep it only if you tick the separate box agreeing to it, and you can leave it out completely by choosing "Rather not say".
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To email you when Sooner opens for you and about your place on the list: your consent.
- To decide which specialties and areas to open first: your explicit consent, for what you're waiting for; our legitimate interest, for the other optional answers.
- To prevent abuse of the sign-up form: our legitimate interest.
We don't use your information for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with the NHS, your GP or anyone else.
Where it's kept, and for how long
The waitlist is stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare), with data held under UK and EU data protection terms. We keep it until Sooner opens for you and for 12 months after, then delete it, unless you become a user, in which case a separate notice will apply. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw your consent, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@soonerhealth.co.uk. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Sooner gives information about NHS services and your rights. It never gives medical advice. If it's urgent, call 111, or 999 in an emergency.
